The color palette reflects the Wolf Lichen of the Whychus Creek—chartreuse green and acidic orange rust. Rocky Mountain Bee Plant and Aspen patterned stencils traverse across the gestural flow of the colors. Laid out on the outdoor work table provided, the piece resembled a tablecloth and a homage to the agricultural mission of the Roundhouse Foundation. Additional painting, staining and embroidery will embellish the cloth and, for exhibition, I envision it covering a table dedicated to the collection of food donations.
