The J. Alden Weir quote “…to the mystery that it all is,” reflects a distinctly American approach to Impressionism that departs from its European roots and embraces an intimate relationship of self to nature through art.
At my Weir Farm Nat'l Historical Park Artist Residency, I realized that my practice is an extension of that creative legacy and my work a form of American Impressionism. Data informed, but not data driven, my work is experiential and rooted in my identity and experiences as a contemporary creative.
